Special Election - Breaks Lock On Ballot Access

Under Georgia law a special election is a non-partisan election, therefore as an independent candidate I will qualify for this election.

Eugene is the first independent candidate in over 40 years to achieve ballot access in the state of georgia. Follow my plight below.

Ballot Access is the answer to term limits

11th Circuit (Federal court) of appeals has upheld georgias ballot access laws and HB 1141 is now dead.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: I need you and everyone you know to call the following list of State Representatives and demand that they pass House Bill 1141* this year with a retroactive date prior to June 20th, 2010. All phone calls must be place before February 26th, 2010. Be nice, be cordial and do not take NO! or any sarcasim for an answer.

WHY I NEED YOUR HELP: The It will lower the requirement of signatures needed to 5,000. This is a rare opportunity for the residents of Georgia since 1943 to remove the stronghold that both the Democrat and Republican parties have had on the offices of Federal Candidates in Georgia. see more...

Petition Drive Started Jan. 14th
The Georgia ballot access law for U.S. House is the most unique in the nation. The state requires 21,685 signatures or 5% of the total number of registered voters in the 9th district, along with a check for around $5,250 dollars (non-refundable). No other state has a ballot access law for Congressional candidates this tough. So come out and let's make History together.

Why?
Early last year, a number of people who are conservatives, old fashioned democrats and traditionalists, from all walks of life, across generations and from far-flung areas of the 9th district, came together. This was out of a common distaste for what the two existing major parties represent. We came from many political backgrounds yet none of them adequately represent who we are "The American People" anymore.

We had little to no resources, just a conviction to move our nation back to the principles of governance adopted by our founding fathers. We realize that the Democrats and Republicans have made it extremely difficult to get involved at the federal level, yet we are overcoming the hurdles placed by the two major parties and exercising our Constitutional right to choose our representatives in a fair manner. I do not believe we can reform our political parties by "promoting people" from the ranks as if it were a sports franchise. We must put solid Americans in place that will make those tough decisions and ask themselves...is this constitutional?
